On August 11th, the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association co-hosted a GCTF virtual seminar with the theme of Green Energy: A Way to a Clean and Sustainable Earth with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Taiwan), the Taiwan Ministry of Justice, the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs Bureau of Energy, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Australian Office Taipei.
Hiroyasu Izumi, Chief Representative of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association gave a speech at the opening ceremony. The expert from Japan was Toru Kobayakawa, Deputy Director General of Infrastructure Management Department, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He gave a keynote speech on Japanese renewable energy and decarbonization support for developing countries and participated in the panel discussion.
The Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association will continue to actively contribute to GCTF in the future.
