On June 13th-14th, the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association co-hosted a Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) workshop with the theme of “Multi-Stakeholder Engagement in Anti-Corruption” with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Taiwan), the Ministry of Justice (Taiwan), the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), the Australian Office, the British Office and the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei.

Since the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, GCTF's international events centered on "law enforcement cooperation" have been conducted virtually in 2021 and 2022. This workshop marks the first return to an in-person format in Taiwan this year, while encompassing the "anti-corruption" theme within the domain of law enforcement cooperation. With the participation of government officials, experts, scholars, and members of non-governmental organizations with experience in promoting or implementing law enforcement cooperation and combating corruption from Japan, Taiwan, the US, the UK and Canada, this gathering provided a valuable opportunity to exchange international anti-corruption trends, recent case studies, and invaluable experiences.

The Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association will continue to cooperate with the GCTF for its further development.
