On December 17th, the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association co-hosted the 7th Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) Joint Committee with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Taiwan), the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Australian Office Taipei.
The Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association has been a full partner of GCTF since 2019 and has co-hosted online workshops on building resilience to disasters, supply chains, vaccines, green energy, etc. and experts in those field from Japan have participated. At this year’s Joint Committee, the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association held its first Joint Committee since joining GCTF, the Australian Office Taipei participated as a full partner and we discussed the subjects of workshops in 2022.
Next year, there are plans to hold GCTF workshops in the fields of law enforcement, health cooperation, sustainable oceans, gender equality, smart agriculture, internet freedom and the digital economy.
